Charity Nominations - Call for nominations

While the primary purpose of this event is to have some fun, there is a more important component to the golf tournament as well. As part of the tournament fee, we are allocating $50 per player, or about $800 total to a charity to be determined. If the tournament continues beyond this year, we'll (as the founding players) discuss identifying a charity to be the primary recipient of the Texas Challenge gifts in the future.

This post is a call for nominations of a charity to receive the initial gift from the Texas Challenge golf tournament.

To date, the following charities have been identified as potential recipients:

1. Make A Wish Foundation - http://www.wish.org/
2. Juvenile Diabetes Foundation - http://www.jdrf.org/
3. Habitat for Humanity - http://www.habitat.org/
4. Leukemia and Lymphoma Society - http://www.leukemia-lymphoma.org/

Please respond with your recommended list of charities by August 10th. After that, a poll will be posted on this site and the players will vote on the Charity to receive the gift.
