Update on Tournament - fees and rules

I have received the quote from Castle Hills for the Tournament. The pricing breaks down in the following manner:

1. Golf Fees - $225 per player - includes 4 rounds of golf, golf carts and range balls. Also includes for the tournament: curb-side bag drop, personalized scorecards and cart signs, rules sheets, professional scoring, contest markers, registration tables, placement of sponsor signs and banners if needed. Note: I have not yet opted for lunches or dinners offered by the club. These are available, but I would like to get feedback from the players before making commitments.

2. Prize Fees - $50 per player - Covers the following:

  • Tournament Champions – Trophies
  • Tournament Runner-Up – Medallion
  • Long Drive - gift certificate
  • Closest To Pin - gift certificate
  • Longest Putt - gift certificate
  • Largest Margin of Victory - Four ball - gift certificate for each member of the two-man team
  • Largest Margin of Victory - Foursomes - gift certificate for each member of the two-man team
  • Largest Margin of Victory - Singles - gift certificate
  • All Players - Bag Tag

3. Charity Fee - $50 per player - Covers a total $800 contribution to the charity selected by the players. A poll is up on the web-site to determine the charity that will receive the contribution.

Total Estimate Golf-Prizes-Charity, - $325. Note: this does not include meals, lodging expense. Lunches are available at the course for around $9.00 per player. Dinners are to be determined. I would expect we'd have a tournament dinner on Saturday evening and will put this forward for comment.

I will need a $50.00 deposit from every player no later than 8/21/07. The deposit is non-refundable except in the event of inclement weather where we will receive either a full or partial refund based on the circumstances cancelling play.

The following rules and procedures will apply to the tournament according to Castle Hills

d. Golf Clubs: Each player is required to have their own set of clubs. If you need to rent clubs, you must reserve and pay for them in advance (club rental fees are $50.00)

e. Disorderly Conduct: All golfers are expected to conduct themselves in a civilized manner in accordance with USGA rules of etiquette. Participants acting disorderly will be removed form the premises without a refund.

f. Pace of Play: The required pace of play on the golf course is a maximum of 15 minutes per hole. (i.e. 4 hours 30 minutes for the round).

g. Registration: Castle Hills Golf Club will provide registration tables for each event. It is the tournament director's responsibility to provide staff and check in each golfer.

These rules are the club rules and will be the rule set (along with the tournament format rules on the previous post) for the tournament.

Please provide comments or questions back.
